Welcome to WhyWait! By creating an account or using our service, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully. This data is used to manage your account, provide queue updates, enable features like notifications and login, and improve your experience. We do not use your data for unrelated purposes.

1. Account Management

• You must be at least 13 years old to register for an account.
• When you sign up, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to keep it up to date.
• Each user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, for any violation of these terms or if we believe your account is being used fraudulently.

2. Geolocation Data

• To help you join and manage queues, WhyWait collects your real-time location information (latitude & longitude) when you opt in.
• Your location data is used solely for displaying nearby queues, estimating wait times, and providing navigation assistance.
• We do not share your precise location with third parties except where required by law or with your explicit consent.
• You may disable location tracking at any time via your device settings or within the app; however, some features (like "Find Nearby Queues") may become unavailable.

3. Phone Number and Communications

• We collect your phone number to provide SMS-based notifications, such as updates when you move up in a queue, when you leave a queue, one-time passwords (OTP) for verification, and login features. You can expect to receive these messages as part of using the service.
• Your phone number is used solely for these communication purposes and to enhance your experience with our service.
• We do not share your phone number with third parties except where required by law or with your explicit consent.
• You may opt out of SMS notifications by replying STOP to any message, but this may limit access to certain features like queue updates.

4. Data Privacy & Security

• All personal data, including account details, geolocation, and phone number, is stored safely to protect it from unauthorized access.
• We take steps to keep your information safe, but cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge the inherent risks of transmitting data online.

5. Changes to These Terms

• We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here with an updated "Last Revised" date.
• Your continued use of WhyWait after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

6. Third-Party Data Sharing

• We may share certain information we collect with third parties such as service providers, analytics partners, advertising and marketing partners, and business partners. This information may include identifiers like your email address, phone number, IP address, device identifiers, your general location (or precise location if you choose to allow it), and how you use WhyWait, such as check-ins, queues you join, and places you visit often.
• In some locations, this type of sharing may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under applicable law. Where required, we provide options to opt out and honor legally required privacy signals.
• We may also share information as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, or when necessary to comply with the law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of WhyWait, our users, and others.
